Located in Post Alley, the Gum Wall began in the early 1990's when people waiting for the theater stuck their chewing gum on the wall. They tried scraping it off, but gave up in 1999 when it became a certified tourist attraction in Seattle. It is ranked as one of the world's germiest tourist attractions right after Ireland's Blarney Stone.
