Raphael Biagini reeled in what is believed to be a 30 pound Koi carp in France, where the fish are quite abundant. For the record, he has caught many giant carp, and this fish was let go after the photo was taken. John McCosker from the California Academy of Sciences says that the largest Koi caught weighed almost 90 pounds, so this is not really beyond the realm of possibility.
