Highline Park
Manhattan's Highline Park serves as a perfect example of eco-friendly urban reclamation. When trains stopped running on these raised rails in the 1980's, the neighborhood rallied to save the raised line to create a park above all the busy street pace below. The park stretches for nine city blocks.
