What is a Numbat?

A Numbat is a small marsupial found in Australia that eats only one thing...termites. It is diurnal, or active during the day to follow the feeding activity times of the insects. The Numbat digs into the subsurface tunnel areas between the termite nest and the feeding areas. He has to keep very busy, because an adult Numbat needs to eat 20,000 termites a day in order to subsist.
