Fish Boosting

In 1995, Baja, Mexico set aside 17,500 acres of the Sea of Cortez for a marine sanctuary known as Cabo Pulmo National Park. New laws were put in place such as no commercial fishing within 50 miles, catch and release, and other fishing limitations. Between 1999 and 2009, scientists have found a mind-blowing 460% increase in marine species. It took the cooperation of locals, businesses, and scientists all working together to accomplish this incredible goal of protecting our marine species and seas.
