A green shiny beetle impaled on a 75 foot high needle is a sculpture that stands in the square in front of the University Library in Leuven, Belgium. It was erected in 2005 to commemorate 575 years of the University of Leuven. The artist, Jan Fabre, was also commissioned to cover the Belgian Royal Palace ceiling in bugs.
