The Moai "heads" on Easter Island actually have bodies. If you dig underneath them, you will find an entire sculpted body complete with ancient petroglyphs. The Easter Island Statue Project was formed to uncover, study, and catalog two of the statues. Also, little known, the statues originally all wore hats.
