Sculptor Antony Gormley placed one hundred cast iron life size figures along 2 miles of the Mersey River shore in England, stretching almost half a mile out to sea. Called "Another Place", he cast the figures from his own nude body. It was at first considered inappropriate by some, but time has won out, and the exhibit remains intact.
