Carry a Big Stick

Carved into a Dorset, U.K. hillside is the Cerne Abbas Giant. Believed to be created around 1694, the giant has become an important part of local folklore and culture. Also dubbed the "Rude Giant", and believed to be a depiction of Hercules, it has become a symbol of fertility. 180 feet high and 167 feet wide, it is best viewed from the opposite side of the valley or from the air.
