While on vacation in the Maldive Islands, Taiwanese photographer Will Ho came upon this magnificent stretch of beach one night. It was covered in millions of bioluminescent phytoplankton which glow and emit light similar to fireflies. The light gets brighter and stronger when they are stressed, such as when the waves start crashing and rolling up on the beach.
