Canadian Bubbly

Photographer Paul Zizka goes every year to Minnewanka Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, to photograph these fantastic bubbles in the lake. Organic material at the bottom of the lake starts to decompose creating methane gas. When the lake freezes, so do the methane bubbles rising which create amazing patterns under the ice.
