Red Crested Tree Rat
At the El Dorado Nature Reserve in Columbia, South America, an unusual discovery just happened. Lizzie Noble and Simon McKeown were sitting out on a deck, and all of a sudden, a Red Crested Tree Rat appeared on the rail. Thought to be extinct, not one of these creatures has been seen for 113 years. Known for its band of red fur, it measures 18 inches from head to tail.
