The Taman Negara

In the middle of the Malaysian peninsula is the Taman Negara, a rainforest that is so old it makes the Amazon jungle look like new growth. This national park in Malay has been undisturbed for 130 million years. The flora and fauna of the Taman Negara are second to none. Over 14,000 species of plants, over 200 mammals, and 240 types of trees can be found there. Travel in the park is limited to jungle trails and riverboats, so much more is probably waiting to be found.
