Oldest Tree in the World

The Bristlecone Pine grows at high elevations, 9800 to 11,000 feet at the tree line in the Western United States. This particular tree above the Inyo Forest in California is 4,844 years old. This makes it 1,000 years older than any other tree on Earth, and also older than any single living organism known to man.
