In San Francisco you will find a secret staircase, called the 16th Avenue Staircase, which is hidden in the city's quiet Sunset District. This neighborhood has very few tourist draws, but those who visit this 163 steps of beautiful mosaic tiles, will be rewarded with sweeping views of the city. A neighborhood project finished in 2005, it was inspired by the Selaron Staircase which is in Rio de Janeiro.
