A wealthy lawyer named Fred Dorn lost his wife and son during childbirth, so he erected a pyramid tomb for them. Built in 1905 in a cemetery in San Louis Obispo, it stands alone in an isolated area because it was the only area in the cemetery with enough rock underneath to support the pyramid's massive weight. Supposedly Fred was also entombed in the pyramid after he passed away.
