Floating and Glowing


Artist Janet Echelman uses high tech fibers that are 15 times stronger than steel to create her floating, flowing, and fluid sculptures. Built to withstand hurricane winds, the huge forms move and billow easily with the air currents. Her enormous suspended works have been commissioned around the world, and were inspired by the netting techniques that fisherman in India use.
