Mini Manhattan

Michael Chesko, a software engineer at Motorola, used to spend his free time building skyscraper models with an X-Acto knife, fingernail files and balsa wood. He became so obsessed with his miniatures, that it could no longer be just a hobby. Using blueprints, photos, and satellite images for guidance, this replica is 36 inches by 30 inches at 1:3200 scale, and took him over 2000 hours to build. What's interesting is that prior to completing the Manhattan model, he never set foot in New York, until after it was finished. He now exhibits his models in galleries.
