Really Cheesy

The Credit Emilliano Bank in Italy looks like a regular bank, but instead of gold bars, there are hundreds of thousands of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese wheels neatly placed on huge shelves. Since 1953, the bank has been taking the Parmesan from local producers in exchange for a cheap loan, and at the same time, looking after the cheese to make sure it ages and ripens properly in the air conditioned humidified vaults. Their mountains of cheese are worth around $200 million.
