Flaming Mushroom

This fireburst is actually a photo of the colored gills or "lamallae" of a Fly Agaric mushroom. The underside of a mushroom can be the most interesting and colorful section, ranging from white, yellow and brown to pink, black and purple. The Fly Agaric mushroom is one of those species that contain psychoactive compounds which can be used as a hallucinogenic.
