Orange Light
This is an "orange battery" that was built by photographer Caleb Charland as part of an ongoing series of alternative energy photos. The electricity that is powering the light inside the orange happens from a chemical reaction between citric acid and zinc nails that are inserted into the orange wedges. The light that was generated by the orange was so dim that this photo required an exposure time of 14 hours.
