Fly Geyser
The Fly Geyser sits on Fly Ranch, a private piece of property in the Hualapai Valley near Gerlach, Nevada. The magnificent coloration is caused by a build up of different mineral deposits and algae that grows on the geyser. In the 1960s, the geyser broke through the land's surface in a weak spot where water had been drilled for centuries earlier. Since then, it has built up a cone which is about 7 to 8 feet high. The owners of the land do not welcome any sightseers, and will not sell the land that the geyser is on.
