Blue Rooster

German artist Katharina Fritsch unveiled her 15 foot high blue rooster in London's Trafalgar Square. Called "Hahn/Cock", it is intended to be a playful counterpart to the statues of military heroes that are in the square. Both the blue color and the rooster are symbolic of France, whose defeat by the British at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 gave the square its name.
