A joint venture between a U.S. aerospace firm Aerion and Airbus is creating the AS2 Supersonic Business Jet which will be the world's fastest. To achieve its amazing speed of Mach 1.6, it uses laminar air flow wings, that will get you from New York to London in 3 hours, or from Los Angeles to Tokyo in just six. As fast as the old Concorde, it seats 12 and can fly more than 5,450 miles. The price tag is around $100 million, and Aerion hopes to begin test flights by 2019.
