Tons of Fish

Residents of Haikou City on China's southern Hainan Island began noticing dead fish floating in a lake. The fish which are members of the Herring family were likely pushed up an estuary by a tidal surge, and then got caught in a pumping system which deposited them into the lake. Men worked furiously to bag the 35 tons of fish to take them to incinerators to prevent them from being sold at local food markets.
