One of several in the species of Manakins, this beautiful Blue-Backed Manakin is found in Brazil and parts of Venezuela. The adult males have this coloration, while the females and juveniles are a drab olive color. What makes this bird so special though, is that during courtship, he performs a mating dance literally doing cartwheels in front of the female.

Blue-Backed Manakin
One of several in the species of Manakins, this beautiful Blue-Backed Manakin is found in Brazil and parts of Venezuela.
